August

With the boat in the shop our season has came to an end. This is a great month to hit the peirheads over on Lake Michigan as the water is warm enough for the Walleye to venture out of the drowned river mouths. When the Lake Michigan flips be ready with your salmon rods! Lake Huron has the Walleye pushing out deep in 100ft+ being suspended and sporadic throughout the lake. The inshore waters are offering poor visibility with Algae blooms. We have our free Pictured Rocks trip you will not want to miss out on!

July Recap

Bittersweat ending for us, a tire coming off on the highway has ended our season with the boat being in the shop. We were able to run a couple very exciting trips this month finding an undiscovered shipwreck, many Walleye, and even some Burbot! We also had the great honor of diving with Kimi Warner! August is a great time for Salmon fishing and September the UP is calling for us. Stay tuned as we prepare for 2027!

June Recap

Busy is how I would define June for us. If you haven't listened to the Meat Eater podcast about spearfishing in Michigan you are missing out, it was such an amazing time diving with Steve Rinella. We had the great pleasure of taking quite a few first time spearfisherman out and I am proud to say every single one of them successfully harvested a Walleye. The MSA tournament had a great turnout and I am glad to have met everyone that attended! Water temps are pushing into the 60's and southern Lake Huron will be seeing some algae blooms shortly.

May Recap

Strong winds, cold water, and perseverance was Mays style. The North East winds kept us off the big water a couple days. We were able to land 2 Lake Trout after lots of hard work and determination with the spearguns and countless others on the rods and reels. Walleye numbers rose to 91 speared for the season. We were able to spear our first whitefish of the year and had an amazing time diving with the spawning Lake Sturgeon, keep an eye out for the episode on Michigan Out of Doors! Water temps are rising fast with our last dives in the low 50s. This ends our early season as we gear up for a very busy next couple months!

April Recap

As the water temps increase Southeastern Lake Huron has been on fire. The weather has given us some days to get out and remind the Walleye there are sharks in the Great Lakes. Tally so far for the season is 72 Walleye for 5 trips.
